11. Indo-German Frontiers of Engineering Symposium

Virtual conference of Alexander von Humboldt Foundation

The invitation-only 11th Indo-German Frontiers of Engineering Symposium (INDOGFOE) organized by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation was held from February 24 to 26, 2020. Originally planned to be held in Kolkata, India, the symposium was converted into a virtual event on the 'Let's get Digital' platform to due the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The 
Institute of Telecommunications contributed to the symposium through guest lecturer Dr. Vahid Aref (speaker in the communications session) and Dr. Christian Senger (co-chair of the communications session).

The Frontiers of Engineering program consists of multiple binational symposia that bring together researchers from engineering and natural sciences in order to discuss their results and to foster bilateral collaborations. Participants are eligible to apply for short-term funding for research trips. The Indo-German symposia are co-funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Government of India.
