Wireline and Wireless Communications: Bus systems for industrial environments
In line with a project in cooperation with two institutes and several leading companies a broadband bus system for industrial purposes is developed. The targeted system is going to operate in wireline and/or wireless mode in industrial harsh environments. In addition, the system is not restricted to any network topology and it can offer high data-rates for an multitude of users, simultaneously.
In this regard, my research interests include OFDM from an all-embracing point of view, including synchronization, channel estimation and in particular implementation aspects. Besides the development of a real-time prototype in VHDL, future research will focus on wireless transmission.
