Machine learning/Deep Learning is currently a "hot" topic in the field of wireless and optical communications, in particular with respect to emerging 5G and 6G technologies.

The Institute of Telecommunications (Nachrichtenübertragung, INÜ) is  organizing a special session on "Application of Machine Learning in Multiple Antenna Communications" at the 25th ITG/IEEE WSA Workshop on Smart Antennas, Sophia Antipolis, Côte d’Azur.

Deep learning/Machine learning has become an important aspect of future wireless communication systems, and the INÜ has been involved early on in researching novel AI-assisted signal processing algorithms for the physical layer.

The special session includes invited presentations from Universities and industry in Germany and the United Kingdom.
