Subject

My research focuses on forward error correction for mobile communications, with an emphasis on Polar and LDPC codes. In particular, I investigate automorphism-based ensemble decoding and universal belief propagation (BP) techniques for rate- and length-compatible coding schemes, aiming to enable a single code design to operate efficiently across multiple configurations, in contrast to current standards such as 5G which rely on separate code families.

My work includes graph-based decoding methods, structural modifications of Tanner graphs, and LDPC code design with hardware-efficiency in mind. Recently, I have begun exploring quantum LDPC codes and am additionally interested in research areas such as DNA-based data storage and post-quantum security.

Students interested in these or related topics are welcome to contact me regarding thesis opportunities.
